Walk to Remember 2012

Todays walk was such a huge success! I'm always amazed at how we manage to pull it off every year. In lieu of the candle light vigil, we officially dedicated and opened the small memorial garden next to the hospital. The new statue is just beautiful and the wind-chimes are lovely when the wind blows them. If you came here from the flyer, there is a button on the right that will take you to our AGAPE Support Group Facebook page. You must be logged in, or it will tell you the page can't be found. It is a private group and you will need to ask to be a member. It is a closed group as well, so anything you post there is only seen by us and you're welcome to talk freely among friends there. We do hope to see you at our next meeting on the 23rd of this month! Gentle days ahead and I hope this experience has had a little bit of healing.

Womack Memorial Garden

 

 

Last month, Chaplain Leininger, Chief of the Dept of Ministry and Pastoral Care, announced that a small area at Womack has been approved for a memorial garden dedicated to memers of AGAPE and all who grieve. It is located in a lovely area on the Reilly Road side of Womack, near the dogwood trees and azaleas. There will be a bench and a small memorial in the form of a statue.


We are hoping to get this completed in time for the October 15th annual Walk To Remember. Hopefully, we will be able to incorporate the dedication of the garden during the activities of the day.

Out of it for a while

I know that for any recent viewers, it seems as though we might not be active anymore. But that couldn't be further than the truth! In fact our support group has grown and we have welcomed many new members. Life got busy and the world just keeps spinning faster, until one day it's been over a year since updating this blog page. Our Facebook community has become active and is probably the best way to keep informed of meetings and current events. Our last Angel of Hope ceremony and Walk to Remember photos are posted there as well. I plan to keep up on this page, now that our flyers are out and more people are becoming informed.

September Meetings

On the 14th we will have our secondary/sister meeting for those of you that have already gotten pregnant, or are trying to get pregnant again. This meeting has open talk of babies and pregnancies, so if you're still sensitive to these topics, you should come to the main meeting later in the month. The regular meeting will be held on the 28th this month. Hope to see you there!

May Meetings

Our specialized meeting for those who are pregnant or trying to be is coming up on the 11th. Then the regular meeting for everyone will be on the 25th. I hope to see everyone there!

March Meetings
